How many passengers can a limousine carry?
As of May 20, 2003, Department of Transportation has changed the guidlines for maximum occupancy in a limousine. All 120" Stretch limousines are only allowed to carry 8 passengers in the rear cabin. Stretched SUV limousines can carry a maximum of 12 passengers in the rear cabin. Beware of limousine companies that claim they have 10 passenger cars, as insurance will not cover more than 8 passengers in a car. We have one mammoth F650 limousine that can hold twenty four passengers, a luxury limo bus that can hold thirty passengers, and three super stretch SUVs that can hold twelve passengers in the rear cabin area.
We suggest you view the Limo prior to your event so you can decide how many you want to seat comfortably. We like to provide quality, rather than quantity to ensure a memorable occasion.
What about tips/gratuity?
For corporate service, a 10% - 20% gratuity is common. For weddings, a 10-15% gratuity seems to be a common trend in the industry. For other services, we recommend a 10-20% tip be given to the chauffeur at the end of your booking.
Some companies automatically add gratuities to services. At Executive 4 Star limousine, we believe that a gratuity should be earned, and not taken for granted. This is why in most cases we leave the gratuity up to our clients, unless a client has requested that it be added at the time of booking.
Many people base the tip they leave at a restaurant on the quality of service and food that they have received. We are confident in letting our customers judge for themselves the quality of our limousines and service our staff has provided. We appreciate all feedback, both positive and negative, about our service. Our goal is to continually improve our service so we can remain the number one voted company in Southern Alberta.
Can I stick my head out the moonroof, like they do in the movies?
No. The Highway Traffic Act prohibits this action. Therefore, the moonroof is kept closed. Regardless of what you see on TV this is not allowed.
Are you safety certified and insured?
Our limousines are safety inspected regularly and are checked and maintained by certified mechanics frequently at Northside Auto with over 20 years experience. We have our limos inspected every 6 months by an authorized Alberta Transportation mechanic. We carry an Alberta Livery License and are fully insured against loss or damage to our passengers. Although in Canada there are no specific training requirements with regards to chauffeurs, other than upgrading to a Class 4 license, all our chauffeurs are trained and experienced to provide safe, courteous, uniform service to our clients.(All drivers provide a Drivers Abstract at least once a year)
How far in advance should I book my wedding service?
THE SOONER THE BETTER. Since most weddings take place on weekends you should attempt to secure your transportation before all vehicles are reserved. Long weekend bookings are always in higher demand and should be booked at least a year in advance. Remember, a small deposit will reserve your car for your special day.
How are your chauffeurs dressed?
Our drivers will always appear professionally dressed in suits. This is the standard we have set for ourselves and will not settle for anything less.
Does the limousine stay with us while we are having our hair, make-up, and photography appointments?
Depending upon the rental arrangement you make, you may have the car for continuous hours, in which case the car and driver are with you all day. Otherwise arrangements will need to be made in advance with the driver.
Do I need to pay a deposit?
All services require a deposit to secure your chosen unit. The whole booking procedure is very simple. Once we receive a deposit we send out a confirmation letter to you confirming all the details and info! Executive 4Star Limousine will NEVER double-book or overbook our services. This letter guarantees and confirms we are committed to providing our services to you and your requested date. At this time we also take that unit out of the booking pool so NONE of the other booking agents can try and book out your ride! The required deposit varies depending on the unit/type of service, please contact one of our booking agents for details. Please note this deposit comes off your grand total and is NOT an extra charge by any means! The most hassle free way to deal with the deposit is to call in a credit card#, email in the info, mail in a cheque, or stop by the office and pay in person ...whatever works best for you.No matter what form of payment you choose you will always be provided with a receipt!
Please note the following info is for real, and NOT a sales pitch by any means... "the sooner you book the better to avoid disappointment as we have the only F-650 limo in all of Alberta." I also advise people of this so they don't get upset with our staff when they call back and say "I spoke to you a few months ago about this date" and are frustrated that the unit they chatted about has already been booked! To be fair to all parties, our units are booked out on a first come first serve basis (meaning whoever places a deposit first).Weddings

What is your cancellation/no-show policy?
All cancellations within 24 hours of the scheduled booking will be fully charged. There will also be NO REFUND on 'no shows' and bookings, which end prematurely, for any extraneous reasons. A cancellation policy will be provided with every booking.
How come I cannot rent a limousine for less than one hour?
This is due to the large expense and cost involved in securing and maintaining the vehicles. We are not a taxi service; an 8-passenger limousine costs more than $100,000! Since each of our vehicles are cleaned and maintained before and after each usage, it is not cost effective for us to incur these expenses plus the drivers wages for bookings under an hour. Typical cleaning and prep time to the vehicle adds at least an hour to each booking, and the drivers must be prepared and dispatched.
